How to Achieve Maximum Motivation in 6 Steps

“Of course motivation is not permanent. But then, neither is bathing; but it is something

you should do on a regular basis.” ― Zig Ziglar

Motivation is not permanent a permanent state of mind, but it is one that you can work on to ensure it persists for a longer period of time.

Every time you commit to a life-changing task, you will feel boosted to achieve your targets but will soon be faced with a growing lack of energy to see it through.

It won't be long until you start slipping into your old habits and wonder where all the initial motivation went.

Motivation is, as it seems, not endless, but there are ways around it, and we'll go through them along with you.

Find What Motivates You

First, assume that motivation is not an endless flow of energy. You'll soon find that it will start fading and, if you let it run too low, it will surely vanish, leaving you wondering what you can do to improve your life, but without actually having the energy or mood to do anything about it.

You'll need to maintain at least some amount of motivation it in order to achieve all the things you've set to achieve.

Recent University studies focused on the importance of dopamine, a crucial neurochemical, and its influence in your personal motivation by delivering positive emotions. In itself, ultimately, it holds the key to achieving your goals.

Don't let your brain do all the work. There are a few other things you can do to create that feeling yourself, and we'll go through them.

#1 - Dopamine Production

It's time to get some exercise to get things going the right way.

Dopamine creation is triggered mostly by exercise, which will fuel the positivity you need to get your mood set right.

With only a few minutes a day, you'll find a huge difference in your overall motivation. If unsure where to even start, the internet is your friend, with sources such as YouTube and free apps for your phone hosting hundreds of easy to start exercises.

#2 - Inspiration

If you're struggling to get started, look up to people you consider successful. Focus on what they focus on and emulate their recipe for success.

#3 - Take Control

Take control of your decision-making processes.

When you're in charge of your life and the way you go about your obligations, you're more motivated to complete them.

Forcing yourself through the day to follow a strict set of rules is nothing but demoralizing and won't achieve the goals you're set out for, as you'll often find excuses to disregard your obligations.

Empowerment will do wonders for you and ultimately become one of the main sources of your motivation.

#4 - Be Realistic

Do aim high by all means, but reduce and break down the perspective of your goals into smaller, easy-to-achieve tasks.

By doing so, you're finding the extra motivation to excel yourself. Think of it as breaking down a few bricks at a time instead of a big wall. You'll still get the wall down nevertheless, but will get more fun and motivation out of doing it.

A great way to make it work is by writing down your main goals and a few tasks associated with them every day. Getting those tasks complete will get you closer to the big goal and deliver a renewed sense of victory.

#5 - See Yourself There

It's easy to speak about motivation, but the main focus has to come from within yourself.

Picture where you want to be in the future and how to get there. By realizing what you want your life to be and what you may need to do in order to achieve it, you're already halfway there.

By forming that image every day and cementing it in your mind, you're allowing yourself the extra motivation necessary to achieve your goals.

#6 - Remain Positive

In the end, it's all up to your belief in yourself. The way you look at your life and your role in it will be key to achieving the goals you set for.

Start believing in yourself and get rid of any negative and destructive thoughts.

Embrace the idea that it won't all be easy and simple and challenges will present themselves, but they will be worthy adversaries as you conquer them step by step.

Whatever happens, always keep motivating yourself through the path and focusing on your strengths at the same time you work on them.

Consider all the great qualities you already possess and things you are grateful for in your life.

Your positive thinking and affirmations towards yourself will be the main fuel to get you through and achieve the life you deserve.

Don't leave it for your future self to solve, as your story begins now. There is no better time to make things happen than the Present.

Build yourself with positive statements that strengthen your core motivation and get you through difficulties.

All the above points are there to constantly help you renew your motivation, achieving your goals with a flow of positivity and opportunity.

Chances are that if it worked for them, it will likely improve your chances of working for you.

Because no one is born with all the necessary wisdom, don't be afraid to do your research and find out if that person you find successful has any advice, written or video tips to help you out achieving that mindset.

Motivation is a positive and contagious energy that will be passed on amongst people, so you may as well look for it in successful people.
